He is all I Need

Father please forgive me
For what I have done. 
I have seen the light, 
Yet turned and began to run
I lost the path 
That is so narrow
And found the wide
And easy to follow. 
I embraced the lies
And turned from truth. 
I worshiped the god of this earth 
Instead of you. 

I've ventured so far 
And have lost my way. 
I need your help Lord 
I desperately pray. 
Shine your light
So I can see. 
And Shine very brightly,
And set me free
Of these bushes and branches of sin
That hinder my way 
again and again. 

Father I don't know 
How you ever could,
But I plead, I cry,
Forgive me if you would. 
I never wanted to become 
The man you see 
Standing all alone
Who can't break free. 
Heal me. 
Cleanse me. 
Make me new. 
Make me spotless
Just like you. 

I believe in your son
And all that He did. 
I confess of my sin
And turn away from it. 
I accept the free gift 
you have bestowed
Upon the filthy man that I am. 
And to you I owe
Everything. 
All that I am. 
This is not my life to live. 
But yours. In exchange for the spotless lamb
Who was crucified
Beaten, crushed, maimed and torn
All so I could live. 
A life reborn. 
I now live my life for you. 
Not for myself. 
Not for my mother,
Father, or anyone else. 

Father! I see you!
I have found my way. 
And now I know
No matter how far I stray,
You will lead me back 
And hold me tight. 
I love you lord. 
I will never again give up this fight. 
For now I know
With you next to me
I can do anything. 
And you are all I need.
