Psalms 95:6
Oh come let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker!
Man, it feels good to be writing again. It's been a long time. and I've missed it. Many things have happened since the last time i posted anything on here. Among these are some big things like finally going off to a university, meeting an incredible girl and some amazing friends, and reconfirming where my passion truly lies. These past few months have been insane. Insane in an awesome way though. I have grown more as a man in the past few months than I did in 4 years of high school. And things have just begun...
College is a strange and wild animal. It can make you or break you. College, for me, has been a learning experience (to say the least). I now know where my allegiances lie in regard to politics, my religion (already knew that, but I'll expand) and morals. But the main thing that I have learned is how NOT to study. Yes. Just like many many others, I too fell victim to the awful habit of skipping class, not studying for tests and saying, "Oh well. God will give me recall on the info." Well let me tell you. He cant help you recall something that isn't put into your head in the first place.... So, If you are reading this and are in college or high school or anything of the like, take heed. STUDY AND GO TO CLASS.
I apologize for the complete randomness this post contains, but this is all stuff that has been put on my heart to say.
So, recently i went on a walk to emmaus. This was such an incredible experience and totally realigned my life to where it should have been all along. I was created to be in ministry. every time I try to run, God gives me a nice little slap in the face and tells me, "Turn around and run back fool!" (Sometimes I like to envision God having Mr. T's voice when He talks to me.) But I am so glad He has decided to be very nice to me and not have me swallowed up by a fish. I know now what I am supposed to do. AND I AM NEVER RUNNING AGAIN.
While in college here at Texas Tech, WRECK 'EM, I have met some incredible people. My best friends at this point in my life, I met in the first month or so of being here. Taylor Lamb is such a sweet and wonderful girl, and has helped me meet so many incredible people. Laken is one of the funniest and sweetest girls I have and ever will meet. These two girls have made my life here just that much sweeter. and I thank God every day for them.
And then there's Kendell.
Kendell White is probably the most incredible woman I have ever met. She is one of the strongest Christians, and an incredibly strong woman. Everything about her makes me want to be the Christian man God wants me to be and the man my parents raised me to be. I am so incredibly blessed to have her in my life and have her as one of my best friends.
My life has been amazing these last few months and I have learned so much about who I am and what I need to change about myself.
Here's a poem I am going to attempt to write in about 5 minutes. Enjoy.
If You're Gonna Run, Run With Me
Boy, you'd better listen.
And listen close.
This is what you need to do.
Don't be opposed.
I know you're not perfect
And never will be.
But I've done more with less.
So just trust Me.
God, I'm not ready.
I'm such a mess.
I've been unfaithful
I'm way too stressed.
You can find someone better
More qualified.
Maybe the kid down the street.
He's really not shy.
Come back to me later.
When I'm better than now.
I'll get better I promise.
Just not right now.
Boy, do you hear what I'm saying?
I'm telling you you're ready.
Anything that needs to change
Will change when I'm ready.
Don't run away.
Come back and stay.
Be in My company
And never stray.
If you're gonna run,
Run with me.
You're created for a purpose.
Don't you see.
You're perfect for this job.
I picked you specially for it.
Don't run from it.
I promise you'll enjoy it.
I love you after all.
I want the best for you.
You'll do great I know.
Because i made you.
Lord, I'm so sorry.
I know I was wrong.
I guess I could do it.
Just please make me strong.
I'll need your guidance
And your firm grip
Hold me tight Lord
And don't let me slip.
I see now what you're saying.
I can't do this on my own.
That's why I'm so perfect for it.
Because its your power that will be shown.
I will do this through you and for you
And I will never back down.
Because you are the Lord MY GOD
And you will always be around.
I love you MY GOD
And I will praise you through the end.
You are my comfort, and redeemer.
You are my best friend.

He is all I Need
Father please forgive me
For what I have done.
I have seen the light,
Yet turned and began to run
I lost the path
That is so narrow
And found the wide
And easy to follow.
I embraced the lies
And turned from truth.
I worshiped the god of this earth
Instead of you.
I've ventured so far
And have lost my way.
I need your help Lord
I desperately pray.
Shine your light
So I can see.
And Shine very brightly,
And set me free
Of these bushes and branches of sin
That hinder my way
again and again.
Father I don't know
How you ever could,
But I plead, I cry,
Forgive me if you would.
I never wanted to become
The man you see
Standing all alone
Who can't break free.
Heal me.
Cleanse me.
Make me new.
Make me spotless
Just like you.
I believe in your son
And all that He did.
I confess of my sin
And turn away from it.
I accept the free gift
you have bestowed
Upon the filthy man that I am.
And to you I owe
Everything.
All that I am.
This is not my life to live.
But yours. In exchange for the spotless lamb
Who was crucified
Beaten, crushed, maimed and torn
All so I could live.
A life reborn.
I now live my life for you.
Not for myself.
Not for my mother,
Father, or anyone else.
Father! I see you!
I have found my way.
And now I know
No matter how far I stray,
You will lead me back
And hold me tight.
I love you lord.
I will never again give up this fight.
For now I know
With you next to me
I can do anything.
And you are all I need.
For what I have done.
I have seen the light,
Yet turned and began to run
I lost the path
That is so narrow
And found the wide
And easy to follow.
I embraced the lies
And turned from truth.
I worshiped the god of this earth

My God forgave
The Lord has made today
For me to teach His ways.
And to show the love of Jesus Christ.
So what then will He say,
If I begin to stray,
Away from this love He freely gives?
Ah, but my God forgave,
On that glorious day,
When Jesus Christ died for all our sins.
But this does not permit,
My life to be full of sin,
Instead I should want to do His will.
So I will choose today,
To follow His holy ways,
And live a life that glorifies Him.
For me to teach His ways.
And to show the love of Jesus Christ.
So what then will He say,
If I begin to stray,
Away from this love He freely gives?
Ah, but my God forgave,
On that glorious day,
When Jesus Christ died for all our sins.
But this does not permit,
My life to be full of sin,
Instead I should want to do His will.
So I will choose today,
To follow His holy ways,
And live a life that glorifies Him.

My Father
I've been trying to find a place
Where I fit in.
I've been singing the same tune,
But the song is growing dim
I don't understand why I feel so empty
Life without you,
just isn't worth living
Come and take me by the hand
Lead me into your promised land
Come and fill this emptiness
Come and free me from this mess
I need you now more than ever.
Pull me out of this rainy weather.
My life without you is incomplete
Without you as the subject,
There are no words to sing.
Help me find my way.
I need you here today.
Help me king of kings.
I see you! I see your light!
I see your glory! I see your might!
Your glorious robe outshines the sun
No one can match you, no not one.
I feel your warmth as you draw near
And then you whisper in my ear.
I never left you, not for an instant.
See, You're the one who had become distant.
Take my hand.
I'll lead you to my promised land.
Trust In me, you'll find life.
Not one thing will cause you strife.
My son died on the cross.
To save all of you. See, there can be no loss.
I love you and crave your love.
I am not only enthroned above,
But within you in your heart.
We can never be apart.
So when things look down and start growing dim,
Look within and find me again.
I'm always there.
Watching and teaching
And I'll always be there,
When your arms come reaching.
Latch on to me and I'll never let go.
I love you more than you could ever know.
Now go, be a light unto others.
Show them a love that is stronger than a mothers.
Love them like I would love you.
And show them how to too.
I love you my child, and always will
Your emptiness I will always fill.
If you lose your way,
Just remember to look within.
I'll reach down
And pick you back up again.
My god, my god, you are in this place!
I will be a light unto others!
I will stand in faith!
Thank you my Father!
You are my king!
To you be the honor and power and glory
Forever and ever Amen!
Where I fit in.
I've been singing the same tune,

My Redeemer
When I have fallen,
Fallen too far to reach,
There is one who can save me.
One whom I seek.
No greater love
Have i ever known,
Than this I've found
Upon Heaven's throne.
His name is God,
And He is mine,
But only by the cleansing blood
Of Jesus Christ.
Upon the cross,
When Jesus died,
My sins and yours,
Were rectified.
I am no longer
A slave to sin,
But only to Christ.
My faith is in Him.
When I have fallen,
Fallen too far to reach,
There is one who can save me.
One whom I seek.
This "One" is Christ.
I put my faith in Him.
Won't you do the same,
And live in eternity, my friend?
Fallen too far to reach,
There is one who can save me.
One whom I seek.
No greater love
Have i ever known,
Than this I've found
Upon Heaven's throne.
His name is God,
And He is mine,
But only by the cleansing blood

Upon the cross,

Fascinated
Hey guys. I'm going to start posting some poetry to get some things off my mind. Sorry if they're not very good... They're what's on my heart!
This one is called "Fascinated."
I have become a man I never meant to be.
I have seen things I never thought I would see.
Things have changed,
Winds have turned,
Yet you still find ways to fascinate me.
I have turned away from who I was before
I have forsaken righteousness for rags that are filthy and torn.
I have moved,
Yet you are still.
Oh my God how you fascinate me.
These new things I've tried, can never complete me
Inside of me I feel dark, lost and completely empty.
Help me find you Lord
I've lost my way.
I need you to fascinate me.
I hear your footsteps. They are near
You say give me your hand, just come near.
I never left you my child
I've been right here.
Now open your eyes and see
Open your eyes and be fascinated by me.
This one is called "Fascinated."
I have become a man I never meant to be.
I have seen things I never thought I would see.
Things have changed,
Winds have turned,
Yet you still find ways to fascinate me.
I have turned away from who I was before

I need you to fascinate me.
I hear your footsteps. They are near

Does your faith begin and end on sundays?
Does your faith begin and end on Sundays?
It's a provocative question that I thought of in a meeting this week.
Do you dress up on Sunday to please men or please the Lord?
Do you sing on Sunday to please those around you or to please the Lord?
Do you know God or just know of Him?
As true Christians, we need to think about these things. Oftentimes so called "Christians" play church. Is this you? Do you walk in the door saying, "Praise Jesus!" and leave thinking, "Man, finally! Now i can get back to being who I'm comfortable being?" Do you find it hard to "act" like a christian when not at church?
Some of the early churches that Paul writes to in Revelation don't even act like Christians at church. Now, after reading that statement, you may think, "well shoot, at least I'm not as bad as they were." Well, you're wrong. If you're "playing" church, then youre right there with them. In the letter to the church of Laodicea, God tells them that they are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold. AND HE WANTS TO SPIT THEM OUT! If you don't carry your faith throughout your daily life, YOU ARE LUKEWARM! God does not like the taste, the aroma, the feel of your worship and praise. It plain stinks. He is disgusted by "lukewarm living." So you may be thinking, well how the heck do i carry this faith throughout my life?? Well, there is a wonderful tool for figuring out just that. God breathed these words out through men so we could know how to live.
The Bible is the place to look.
Proverbs gives us insight on many topics and is wise. All of the gospels give an account of Jesus's life (which we are supposed to model ours after). And the rest of the books do the same.
This means it is of utter importance to be in God's word.
Let me propose a question.
How many times to you read your Bible daily??
DAILY
Not every other day, not mondays, not just Sundays and Wednesdays.
DAILY
If you're not in the Word, how will you know how to live? If you don't know the word of God, how will you know who God is? Would you know your best friend if you never talked to them? Would they know you? Would you know what hurts them, what pains them, what makes them happy? The same goes for God. The only way to gain insight on God and His plan for you is to read the Bible and talk to Him. In other words, pray.
It is very easy for us to become complacent with where we are and what we are doing; and very easy to fall into "playing church." We can not allow ourselves to become that way. As my parents always say, "Remember who you are." and i might add, "Remember who you belong to."
God bless you.
In Christ,
Clint
